Terms of Use
This is the agreement between you and Reelery. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
Last updated 31 August 2026. Effective 31 August 2026.
The short version. Reelery is a personal recipe organiser made by one person. A free account works forever, with a limit on how many new reels you can save; a subscription removes that limit and renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Recipes are extracted automatically and can be wrong, so check them before you cook, especially for allergens. Recipes belong to the creators who posted them; Reelery just files them for you.
1. Who you are agreeing with
Reelery ("Reelery", "the app", "we", "us") is made and operated by Andersen Keller, an individual based in Arizona, United States, reachable at support@reelery.app.
By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
This agreement is between you and Andersen Keller, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Reelery or its contents.
2. What Reelery does
You share a post into Reelery from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Facebook. Reelery reads that post's public description, uses an automated language model to pull out the ingredients and steps, and saves the result to your own private collection, credited to the creator and linked back to their post. You can then read, edit, organise and cook from it, and add its ingredients to a grocery list.
Reelery has no feed, no public profiles, and no way to browse anyone else's collection. Your recipes are visible only to you.
3. Recipes are extracted automatically, and can be wrong
Recipes in Reelery are produced by software reading someone else's caption. That software makes mistakes. It can miss a step, misread a quantity, drop an ingredient, or occasionally get something badly wrong.
Check a recipe against the original post before you cook from it. Every saved recipe links back to the post it came from, precisely so you can.
Never rely on Reelery for allergen, dietary or food-safety information. An ingredient list in the app may be incomplete. If you have an allergy or intolerance, or you are cooking for someone who does, check the original source. Reelery is not a source of nutritional, medical or food-safety advice, and nothing in it should be treated as any of those.
Cooking times, temperatures and handling instructions are reproduced as the original creator wrote them. Reelery does not verify that they are safe or correct.
4. Other people's posts, and the people who made them
Recipes you save come from posts made by other people. Those creators own their work; saving a recipe into Reelery does not transfer any rights in it to you or to Reelery.
- Every saved recipe keeps the creator's username and a link to their original post.
- Reelery never downloads, stores or serves video. Thumbnail images are loaded from the platform's own servers and are not copied.
- Use Reelery for your own personal, non-commercial cooking. Do not use it to republish, redistribute or commercially exploit anyone's recipes.
- Reelery is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Meta or Google. Your use of each of those services remains subject to its own terms.
If you are a creator and want a recipe derived from your post removed, write to support@reelery.app and it will be dealt with promptly.
5. Your account
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account per person. Do not create additional accounts to get around the free allowance.
- Give accurate information when you sign up.
- Tell us at support@reelery.app if you think someone else has access to your account.
6. What you may not do
- Break the law, or infringe anyone's rights.
- Bypass, disable or interfere with the rate limits, the free allowance, or any other technical limit, including by automation.
- Scrape, bulk-collect or systematically harvest content through Reelery.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where law expressly permits it.
- Resell, sublicense or otherwise make Reelery available to others as a service.
- Probe or attack the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
7. The free tier
A free account is free permanently. Everything you have already saved stays yours and stays fully usable. Reading, cooking, searching, editing and organising are never limited, and your collection is never capped or deleted for being too large.
What is limited is adding new reels, because that is the part that costs money to do. A free account currently gets 15 saves to start with, and 5 more every 30 days after that, with no end date. Saving counts an attempt, not a result: deleting a recipe does not give the save back, though attempts that fail through no fault of yours are not counted. There is also a rate limit on how quickly reels can be saved, which applies to everyone.
These allowances may change. If they are reduced, you will be told in the app first.
8. Subscriptions
Reelery Pro removes the limit on saving new reels. It is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription and an auto-renewing yearly subscription.
- Price. The price of each plan, in your local currency, is shown in the app before you buy, and is set in the App Store. Prices vary by country and may change; a change will never apply to a period you have already paid for.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price then in effect.
- Managing and cancelling. You can see, change or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling turns off auto-renew; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Reelery cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf.
- No partial refunds. Cancelling part-way through a period does not refund the unused part of it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Reelery, under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- If a subscription lapses, your account returns to the free tier. You keep every recipe you have saved.
The Privacy Policy that applies to a subscription is the same one that applies to everything else: reelery.app/privacy.
9. Your licence to use Reelery
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Reelery on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. That licence covers use of the app; it does not give you any rights in the app's code, design or name, all of which stay with Andersen Keller.
Your recipes are yours. Reelery claims no ownership of the content in your collection, your edits, your cookbooks or your grocery list. Reelery stores and processes them only to provide the service to you.
10. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app or by emailing us. See Delete your account. That deletes your data immediately. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; cancel that separately in your Apple Account settings, or you will keep being charged.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where required by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, you will be told first and given a chance to put it right.
Reelery may be discontinued. If that happens you will be given reasonable notice, an opportunity to export your recipes, and a refund of any subscription period paid for but not delivered.
11. No warranty
Reelery is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Reelery does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that recipes will be accurate or complete, or that every post can be read. Reelery reads the description a post was published with, so a recipe that is only spoken aloud or shown on screen cannot be picked up at all. Reelery also depends on the platforms it reads and on third-party services, and those can change or stop working without notice.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Andersen Keller will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill, arising out of your use of Reelery.
Total liability for any claim relating to Reelery is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Reelery in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Apple
These terms include the following, which Apple requires:
- This agreement is between you and Andersen Keller only, and not with Apple. Andersen Keller, not Apple, is solely responsible for Reelery and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Reelery.
- If Reelery fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Reelery.
- Andersen Keller, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Reelery, including product liability claims, any claim that Reelery fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or privacy law.
- Andersen Keller, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that Reelery infringes that party's intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using Reelery.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and upon your acceptance of it, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. When they do, the date at the top changes, and if the change is significant you will be told in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Reelery after that means the new terms apply. If you do not accept them, delete your account.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and both sides consent to that jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or United Kingdom, nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
16. Odds and ends
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about Reelery.
